Yet to see someone complain and also bring up solutions. People seem to think YouTube is this evil entity, forgetting that they have a job to do. They have to mediate a relationship between advertisers ($$$) and creators (programming). What's your solution?

People seem to think you have to offer a solution when you criticize a product/business. It's not my job to offer a solution in the same way it's not yours to offer a solution to a co. that has manufactured & sold you a faulty product whether it be food, beverage or appliance.

It's not your job to offer a solution. How far do you believe your berating goes? Your analogy completely misses the mark. YouTube is not a faulty product. It works. Not the way everyone wants it to, but it works.

The problems you're complaining about are simply how the market works. YouTube is not the evil entity here. In reality, YouTube stops no one from monetising. It allows monetisation within advertiser guidelines. It's up to creators to take responsibility for THEIR business.

How far do you believe your white knighting goes? It's just as pointless. People have a right to complain, especially when it affects them. Also, if it worked, they would not be complaining in the first place. You can't "it works", then say it doesn't work for others.

If YouTube don't explain what words are demonetized or flagged, then creators can't take "responsibility" as you put it for their content. Words like gay/lesbian/lgbtq, etc. should be automatically flagged anyway. It does not work

Frankly, seeing entitlement winds me up. That's why I responded. Clearly, the system doesn't work in every case. Boo hoo. I'm personally thankful there is even a FREE system in the first place doing their best to democratise the media landscape. And people complain.

But I'm not the one crying about the platform not working for me. Most people i know struggling are also complaining. The ones I know (including me) running 6-7 figure businesses around content are saying exactly what I'm saying. So sure, call me what you want.

You're an idiot, and ignorant to the problems going on, it's not "the platform not working" it's gays having their videos demonitised and getting pushed down in the recommended, its YT being un transparent and lying to everyone about the platform and how it works, but okay.
