Not transferred but occupied. Russia did not fought against NAZIZM but to occupy other countries. They did it.

That same Soviet "diplomacy" drove millions of innocent German citizens out of their homes after the fall of Nazi Germany. Today we call that ethnic cleansing.

This was a guarantee of no future alliance between Germany and Poland because those lands remain a part of contention until this day.

Let us not forget Soviets shipped all factory machinery from Poland after WW2, that 2/3 of Polish territory was incorporated into USSR, while rest was exploited as colony, that USSR kept German reparations due Poland and never paid reparations for rapes murders and destruction.
