I believe we need to utilize controlled badge access to shore up access point vulnerabilities. Using ID’s for access works well for a great many businesses. I think that’s a good physical first step.

Door control alone won’t solve the problem. Stronger gun control mechanisms would not have prevented today’s tragedy, since the weapons were taken from the parent. I drafted a plan after Parkland to cut some of the gaps in background checks. It’s here http://bit.ly/EFFAS

Thanks for the thoughtful response. A good first step. Who would pay for the extra security and control points? Also would this be for every school at every level? i agree that might be the easiest start in today’s climate.
