Today marks the 155th anniversary of Juneteenth. This afternoon I spent hours listening to people speak about the history of June 19th, what it means to communities of color and what still needs to happen in our country to achieve equity for PoC.
One thing that gives me hope is the rising collective of black voices. People who speak well for black communities are spreading hope and change with strong, clear voices. I consider myself blessed having the opportunity to listen to them. Happy Freedom Day! Happy Juneteenth!
