Today I'm feeling pulled in so many different directions...

For several hours yesterday and into the night, I watched as the riots progressed, as law enforcement and national guard units were activated, as news media teams broadcast from the epicenters, as politicians and community activists made commented and addressed people...

I witnessed folks I know slammed to the ground and arrested while speaking to officers. I watched a video of a person stomped to death at a protest. I watched the national guard fire rubber bullets at people standing on their own front porch...

I see chaos and anarchy, and a system of law enforcement with very, very few in leadership addressing change, vowing for change, which is desperately needed...

The People of this country want justice and a way to break the wheel of racial inequality, which is deeply rooted in our nation’s history and should be challenged consistently, legally in court and at the ballot box.

A law enforcement officer murdered George Floyd. Whether that was personal beef between the two of them, or not, it doesn’t matter, George was murdered while three other cops did nothing to save him. All of whom should be in jail right now.

For those who cannot accept the protests as anything more than an overreaction, understand growing pains hurt, and America must grow and push back against the internal forces at play in this country that thrive off inequality.

In order for that to happen, the narrative must remain centered on George, Breonna, Philando, and all the numerous black, brown, and non-white people who suffer at the hands of agencies who refuse to police themselves and those with agency oversight.
