Can heartily recommend this series. Fast-paced contemporary fantasy with a great voice - best use of a quid you'll see today.

Dear homeowners, If you're going to landscape with decorative stone chippings, please for the love of sweet fluffy kittens don't lay them straight onto the soil. Love, the person who buys your house.

So my bank revoked my internet credentials for inactivity. To get them back I have to re-register online, download, sign & return a 15-page form, and the cat has puked up all over the carpet. Twice. And I just screwed up page 6 of the form. *pinches brows* Is it yet?

Progress on the . I have discovered the edge of the lawn (newsflash: it has one!) and some unremembered daffodils. 1/2

Bare earth between the edge of the lawn in front and a low wall of buff bricks behind, overgrown grass to either side

Monday went off with a bang (literally: dad had a fall that necessitated an ambulance, CT scan, a shitload of antibiotics & 8 staples in his scalp) so please can I have a nice, peaceful Tuesday? I promise to be good.

The picture above is about 30 mins work, the most I can do at once, but being outside with my hands in the earth nourishes me & clears my mind. Little by little I will make this patch flourish, & hopefully do myself some good. 2/2

This has always been a scruffy little nothing border at the end of the garden, by the junk pile. Time has been hard on it, much like me, but today its rebirth began. 1/2

Garden border overgrown with grass and weeds. In the foreground, rigger gloves and weeding fork.

Incidentally, friend of a friend is working at a mass vax centre and confirms GP reg is not necessary to get a jab. Unfortunatelt, their only walk-in session is this arvo and spouse doesn't fancy a second 50+ mile round trip on his day off.

Full disclosure: his former GP is long retired, and since he hasn't needed a doctor in 20+ years, he simply never bothered registering when we moved up here. I'm sure he's not alone in this, either.

Well, that sucks. Today MrC was refused a Covid vax at a walk-in centre because he's not registered with a GP. 1/2

The munchkin at rest. And of course she's on my writing chair, because where else would she be?

Almost 11pm in Northumberland and it's still 20 deg C and 70% humidity. This is unacceptable.
