Not true, Fire mage is debatable - Kyrian, Venthyr and Night Fae are all viable and strong.

Is there a correlation between the BIS covenants' rankings and the average? It's probably slightly higher, but within margin of error.
Venthyr is also the Bis for raiding Disc
tbf I picked necrolord as dk because slappy hands is the only ability they gave dk's that's actually fun, all of the other covenents seems kinda boring to me

Thing is too though that you need to look at. Whats best for PvE which 1 is the most well rounded ect. And which ones fit class themes. Necrolord is the most well rounded pve one AND thematically matches dk a ton.
