    Are any Tories out here actually defending this vote? It's bizarre, I never see people (who claim not to be racist) defend their xenophobic/anti-immigrant views. I can only surmise that everyone knows it's racist and inhumane, but simply doesn't want to admit it.

    MPs have voted against Amendment 4 to Clause 37 of the European Union (Withdrawal Agreement) Bill, by 348 votes to 252. This would have protected the right for unaccompanied child refugees to be reunited with their family after Brexit.

    If this were Israel instead of Iran the BBC would not report "mistakenly," the U.N. Human Rights Council here in Geneva would be gathering the lynch mob, and Jeremy Corbyn, Linda Sarsour & Ken Roth would be red in the face screaming about war crimes.

    There's a much broader idiosyncracy here for the culturally progressive left. We sanitise language, like getting people's preferred pronouns right, and purging micro-agressions. But OTOH, saying that language used to debase people is both empowerment and harmless. Which is it??

    Have you met the youth in the inner city? You think this language doesn’t affect them? Anyone working with these young ppl knows what I am saying is true. I get DMs from them. But they are too frightened to say this out loud because the mob will attack.
