    At , we continue to screen positive specimens using SGTF. Confirmation by sequencing usually lags by a few days, but we expect the majority of these SGTFs to be Omicron. If so, definitely seeing a rapid rise similar to reports from South Africa, UK, Denmark, etc.

    So important - may just appear to be "milder" because people exposed were mostly low-risk or previously exposed/vaccinated. Could easily be just as serious as prior strains, especially for unvaccinated.

    I really wish everyone would stop saying that is “milder” as it is way to early to tell and this narrative could really cause harm. There are many confounders to early data and it’s important to be mindful of how these narratives shape perspectives and behavior
