4H provided great mentors and helped me learn public speaking, leadership and record keeping. The young women I mentored in women’s ag leadership continue to grow in their careers and become national leaders in stewardship, food channels and policy making.

I grew up with access and connection to farms. This connection has raised my awareness of the critical role that farmers, rural communities, food production, and farm stability play in our country’s success. I was proud to ride with my Uncle on his tractor as he baled hay.
