So-called “World Leaders”, you are called so because you are supposed to help bring peace to our world, not pain. Where are you all? Step up and step in

Being an snp member for years, six weeks ago I resigned and joined Alba for this very reason, the independence movement isn't just one party, its full of independence minds, which should be respected and encouraged, afteral we need different approaches/ideas in pushing forward.

So after some careful consideration, have decided to Join today. I want independence and happy to back any party that pushes us forward.

UK universities have gone from seats of learning to deep wells of ignorance in the course of my lifetime. I really didn't see that coming. 😳

Actually yes. A lot of us used to be TWAW. It took the abuse of JKR to open my eyes to the danger & absurdity of this position.

Just phoned to register a Covid test. Woman on the phone: How would you describe your sex? Male, female or other? Me: Female. There is no 'other' is there? Her: No, but you've got to ask, haven't you? Me: Well, not really. It's mad. Her: I know. The NHS, ladies and gentlemen

In some ways, I’m finding it harder seeing it now through the eyes of teens I know. As one said recently, after a scary experience ‘why can’t they just leave us alone?’. I don’t get the impression anybody really cares enough to tackle it - girls are keenly aware of that.

i'm more fine with the idea of 'men's spaces'. Make all space women's spaces and confine men ... the 'women's spaces' thing i have trouble with because it feels like they've won. but the other way round feels like it has more potential....

I am listening to someone called Diana Thomas on explaining law incorrectly, with huge confidence. For something to be a "hate crime", there needs to be an underlying offence. Solely being offended by something isn't sufficient. Why are they not speaking to a lawyer?

Look at this, the people of UK have morals, even if our politicians don’t.

This is the same refugee camp where the four boys Israel murdered in the infamous beach massacre of 2014 were from. My short documentary on their brothers and cousins who survived:

Since when is anything she said “a position” ? Of course other opinions exist & I appreciate you’re talking about academia in general, but stating what most people accept as basic uncontroversial facts shouldn’t be cause for censure.

In an academic setting that means learning to explain and justify your position when scrutinised AND Learning to listen to views/arguments which you disagree with and test them respectfully. The more difficult or controversial the issue, the more important it is to insist in this
