    BREAKING! JUST PASSED! SB 483, by , retroactively applies the repeal of sentence enhancements for prior convictions on certain drug crimes. It rebuffs the false narrative that excessive sentences deter crime + undoes decades of harm to our communities.

    When I was incarcerated, I saw firsthand how jails/prisons exacerbated existing trauma & harmed women. I support to right wrongs of the incarceration system & to support women, esp survivors of domestic violence. Let me tell you why. 1/3
