Israel shelled regime targets in Qunetira multiple times in the past, but almost exclusively in response to errant fire from the regime into the occupied Golan, but sources in Quneitra are telling me Israel fired first & there were no report in Israeli media about errant fire.

No reports yet about projectiles that landed in the occupied Golan, despite sirens sounding off. A single source in Quneitra is telling me he saw the Iron Dome system intercepting regime rockets.

The current fire exchange along the border fence on the occupied Golan between Israel and Iran/Assad regime is unprecedented in terms of scale and duration. "It has never been this violent" a reporter in Quneitra tells me.

Israeli Army instructs municipalities in northern Israel & the Golan to return to normalcy. Schools will be opened in northern Israel today. Seems like Israeli leadership is not expecting further retaliation from Iran/regime forces.

So, the question is: could this all be a preparatory bombardment for a cross-border incursion? Possibly to create a buffer zone in Syria to prevent short-range Hezbollah missile attacks?

The shooting is carried out in accordance with an orderly fire plan. First paralysis and destruction of launchers and sources of fire afterwards destruction of headquarters and command and control positions. there is no shooting that is not for purpose!
