Very saddened to learn the news of John Lewis’ passing. Respected by all, John Lewis was an extraordinary leader who overcame so much to tirelessly fight for civil rights. A true icon with whom I was privileged to serve. He will be greatly missed.

I have a question. What did he have to say regarding the country's current unrest? Did he support it? Was he against it? Did he make any strides towards calming it? I was not in the man's company, as everyone else was, so I do not know.

If only you had 1/1000th of the passion he had to fight for equality and justice for all Americans. Instead, you fail to stand up to a President that has washed his hands of this pandemic while 1000 people die each day. You support his militarized tactics in the streets. Shameful
