This means legislating effectively on behalf of the American people while at the same time also heeding very specific and direct public health advice from the experts at CDC & county public health depts across the country. The same advice we are giving to our constituents.
The public health concerns on the Hill have been largely brushed under the rug. Capitol Hill was already way too slow in updating the procedures for tours, visitors etc to protect the public’s health & safety. This put constituents, staffs, Cap Hill admin, & Cap Police at risk.
Every single American deserves a vote from their Rep & Senator at this critical time. The only way this safely happens is with remote voting. B/c as more & more Reps/Senators are quarantined, that deprives districts & states & some of the American people of their vote.

And the Hill folks are to slow in finding Testing Kits for California and the rest of the nation. Pence said he would get 4 million of them weeks ago-where are they?
The test kits for determining positive/negative are being utilized in Massachusetts. A friend works in a lab performing tests. The kits to initially swab a patient are (I work at an upstate hospital) are not available.
I guess you heard Rand swam in the pool. But, UR right about this. Please make sure the stimulus bill has strong worker protections for all workers, everywhere not just in Congress. Grocery clerks, nurses, and delivery among others at risk right now.
