Congresswoman, I’m a 55 year old judge. I’ve been an attorney for 30 years. This kind of thing has happened to me frequently & sometimes still does. It’s not always an intentional sexist slam. My advice is be thankful for your youthful appearance & focus on being awesome.

Couldn’t agree more. When I began practice (now retired) I encountered conference rooms and board rooms on floors of buildings where there WERE NO LADIES ROOMS because secretaries only popped in and out. I still had a great career and was well respected.
