I agree in principle, but we should not look to achieve some sort of equity by brute force. If talented, principled women seek office I will support them. But empowering for the sake of it is not right.

How about we just elect the best and brightest without regard to race, gender, or any other attributes that no one cares about.

Don’t blame the voters. You, @EliseStefanik , are an above average Representative. When strong candidates run they usually win. Encourage women to become good candidates. Don’t encourage voters to elect someone based on biology, but on qualifications
