I remember this well! Best advice is to kindly smile, point to your pin, and excitedly say “Nope. I’m a Member - the youngest one!” My experience is that people & esp the US Capitol Police are proud to meet young, new Members. They have a tough job & are amazing public servants

Ms. Ocasio Cortez has a dramatic, historical opportunity if she could simply muster the wisdom to be quiet for a bit and learn the lay of the land. Not wanting to do this will keep her from achieving greatness. Already, she is reputed to complain too much.
