When the Constitution was written, news of election results from different states took time - there were no phones, email, internet, TV. Not even telegrams. So all you "originalists" out there - having the election called on election night isn't a right. Voting *is* a right.

Any vote cast (or postmarked) on or before election day, by a registered voter, should be counted. Only when the margins are very narrow will late-arriving ballots make the difference. And so sometimes, in some races/states we may have to wait for results. Have patience.

Not with the way Trump’s lawyers are trying to stop swing states from counting ballots that are postmarked before, but arrive after Election Day.
