I think @LinaHidalgoTX is one of the most fascinating elected officials in the entire country right now. She's 29 and runs a county with 4 million people in it.

She's also proof that down ballot races are just as important as the top of the ticket.

She has gotten so much flack from people and it upsets me. She did the right thing at the beginning of the pandemic. She listened to the experts and Abbott fought her on it. She kept us safe as long as she could. And now she's making sure everyone who wants to vote can.

Never has that been more clear than in the past six months. Harris County is safer and healthier and has far more access to the vote than it would have without her. Incredibly grateful for your leadership
