Democrats: we are all calling & emailing the same donors, but spending thousands of $ and hundreds of hours searching for the same data. We need to do better at data sharing across campaigns. How successful will we be when we're not constantly reinventing the fundraising wheel?

Former consultant here — it’s because data is power, and the electeds with more of it use it as currency to curry favor. Even the state parties and national infrastructure end up begging to data share with popular officials who have more.

A shared Democratic Party data infrastructure would be a smart way to build on the wave of 2018 and the probable (?) wave this year to create a solid foundation for the next decade.
