Trying to refill my asthma meds at the VA. Need to talk to the dr to get more refills, but can't go in because I'm a single mom and can't take my daughter w/ me. No online scheduling available, and the phone system just loops when I call to make an appt. This is not okay.

This is something that didn’t work for you. In the context of the other things that I wrote. And it sure is about staffing and underfunding, because people are what fix problems like what you encountered.

I have had this same thing happen occasionally when I interact with non-VA providers. The same thing. I don’t jump to conclude that the organization is putting up barriers to me, the patient.
