Women should all strike. My kids are grown but I remember the struggle and we are far to important to the economy to put up with this type of treatment. 
This pandemic is hitting doubly hard on working moms juggling childcare too. Why would a university announce that employees doing remote work can't take care of their kids? Guess who's going to be most affected? What’s strange is I read this is actually just the END of an EXEMPTION to a policy that disallows people working at home to simultaneously parent children. Of course, I still don’t know how you’d enforce it. Or why’d you announce it.
