Texas schools are officially closed for the rest of the school year. It's the right call.

Difficult call. But at least now Texas parents know what to plan for. My big question is, will this change the way we do education in the future? More stay at home working implies more stay at home education, maybe more internet-delivered lessons, that kind of thing.
As a teacher, I know you can't replace a classroom experience. There are too many kids w/o internet or devices at home. I think what we learn long term from this is that internet access is a necessary utility.

The teacher-class model has been around for thousands of years. It must be doing something right. "...internet access is a necessary utility." Universal, secure, freely accessible internet access would be one of the "nice things" it seems like our society could have.
