These people have always been essential to the daily running of our society. We all knew this all along, and yet pretended that there was something wrong or lesser abt them to have to stoop to such low levels as to work in the service industry.
It is crystal clear how much we depend on grocery and restaurant workers. They all deserve to make $15/hr (or more, and not from tips). And please, remember they're just as worried for their health as you are when you do venture out for groceries or takeout.
