The war with Iraq was a mistake. The war with Iran will also be a mistake. We are at the precipice of war because of the lack of a coherent Iran strategy cheered on by war hawks like Dan Crenshaw. I've served in the Persian Gulf. We must end these forever wars.
We lost 1000s of American lives in the conflict with Iraq. It cost us trillions and has destabilized the region. Not to mention the 1000s of Iraqi casualties. A war with Iran will be much more costly and dangerous. War won't solve our security challenges, only make them worse.
It was not "a mistake" Bush intentionally started a war with intelligence they freaking made up a long the way. That is not "a mistake" , it's incompetence and war mongering.
