The camera was facing south, and the Buk is pointing east, which means it's actually travelling in the correct direction, just the JIT animation was wrong. The Russian MoD uses this to falsely claim the photo is fake 3/3pic.twitter.com/tgcCAaO7db
To be fair, I think Russia’s debunking of the Bellingcat ‘photographic and video evidence’ is complimentary to the work done on tracking the serial and stock number detail. Unless you’re implying that was forged. Regardless of agendas, it would be nice to know the truth.

This piece of animation was never in the original JIT presentation and created by Russia in exactly the same style as the JIT.
