I’m really sick of being a parent today. It has been FOUR MONTHS since anybody other than me and my wife have been responsible for them. It’s hard. I feel like non-parents have no idea how hard it’s been.
A *lot* of people in this thread are flexing like “school” and “camp” were never an option while they were raising kids. 
Even Mary goddamn Poppins relied on the kindness of chimney sweeps from time to time.
Like I said, it’s been a hard, exhausting four months.
Or they do, and that's why they're non-parents.

Not a cool blanket statement. Some women may not be able to have babies, it's not for the lack of wanting to be a parent.
The respect for teachers and daycare workers skyrockets! They all deserve raises.
I've had a classroom of 10 very young children for 4 years and before that was a paraprofessional in public schools. I hope people realize how much we do. I also have my own kids at home too. Our center closed temporarily, now slowly opening again. I definitely missed the kids!
