A third of young people aged 18-34 are not registered to vote. You can register quickly, in just five minutes while waiting for the kettle to boil or running a bath. Visit: http://ow.ly/VSzw50pITbx pic.twitter.com/qdX1giZOXT

I don’t think all that many 18-34 year olds have baths any more- takes far longer, and more water, than a shower. Maybe find a better analogy? “You can register to vote while you’re on the loo?”

Wouldn't that be too close to saying the country has gone down the pan since the 2016 vote? 😉 #RegisterToVote

@TheAlethiophile I never understand countries in which everybody isn't automatically registered to vote the day they turn $VOTING_AGE.

Perhaps they're waiting to see if the result of a national referendum is enacted ie.,if there is any point in voting. Voting only has any point if results are enacted. If 2016 isn't enacted why bother to register to vote or to vote again if you are already registered?

Maybe they are fed up that even after knowing the referendum result broke electoral law, it’s still been able to stand despite - overspending, Russian interferences, and just pure lies. Switzerland over turned theirs for just lying.
