Elections Canada does not use Dominion Voting Systems. We use paper ballots counted by hand in front of scrutineers and have never used voting machines or electronic tabulators to count votes in our 100-year history. #CdnPoli

We typically get the results the morning after election day. Machine vote-counting for federal elections is a solution in search of a problem.

Yes. And some how we manage to know the results the same day. Seems to work pretty good.
But hey, spending millions on some closed-source technology from a for-profit company with who knows what sort of backdoors sounds like a good idea too.

I am so thankful for this; the constant march towards more technology when voting is unnecessary and brings uncertainty.
We get our results on election night, in a good time frame, and I trust my vote has been counted.

It can be done because canadian ballots are not weird unorganized scantron sheets that take more time to fill in than a year end exam sheet

I like how Elections Canada feels the need to flex how much better their system is then the United States. LMAO 😂

I think it's more of a response to the nonsense online about China embedding software in our vote tabulation software
