Wow! @JoeBiden just came up with a brilliant idea of setting up a commission on policing that would work with police departments and communities of color to curb unjustified police violence.
But wait! That was exactly what @SenatorTimScott’s bill proposed, & Democrats voted no!
As a fmr three-term sheriff & county/state/federal prosecutor, I found the willingness of Senate Dems, like @DickDurbin, to dismiss the #JUSTICEAct as "token" legislation to be absurd. Dems claim they support police reform but when the moment arises, they don't come to the table.
