I want to add that I held deputies & officers who violated their oath and LCSO policy accountable. I tried my hardest to get rid of the bad apples who would negatively impact the mission of the LCSO. My biggest obstacle? Police unions. No sheriff/chief wants to lead bad LEOs.
Here's a quick summary of some reforms that can & MUST happen within #LawEnforcement:
1) End "code of silence"
2) End the hold police unions have on depts/sheriff's offices
3) Elevate more women to command
4) Appoint an outside civilian board to review use of force incidents

Forgotten reforms that can be done right now: 5) A minimum of 2 years of education and training in laws and proper civilian interactions. (21 to 30 weeks training is NOT enough) 6) Stricter psychological requirements 7) Stricter expenditures oversight by civilian council
