I agree our citizens should come first. And I want to have a secure border, funding for ICE. But the reality of governing is different than that of campaigning. We will not get our secure border if we don't work to find a solution. #ILSen

He has accomplished a remarkable amount and his record on judges is historic. I'm just talking about political reality. We're a blue state, not Texas. We need to have a candidate in the general aware of that.

Flip what red? We're in a blue state. That's getting even bluer. That's just the fact of living in Illinois. This state needs a new direction.

It would be great if Illinois went Republican. But it's a solidly blue state. And getting bluer. I don't know what else there is to say about that. The collar counties are trending Democrat. And that's a problem.

And nobody in the central and southern part will support you.
