I agree our citizens should come first. And I want to have a secure border, funding for ICE. But the reality of governing is different than that of campaigning.

I mean Lake County is now blue. That's a fact. DuPage County is trending blue.
Not to mention, to win statewide a candidate needs 21% out of Chicago/Cook County. You don't get that as a Republican you won't win. #ILSen

My point is that the stances you have taken will alienate you from the rest of the state! That is not being a senator for ALL Illinois, sir. I know that people in this area will not support some of the stances you have taken. That’s a fact.

I'm not saying we shouldn't have a secure border or anything like that. I'm simply stating that we need to watch how we characterize certain groups. We have to start reaching out or the ILGOP will continue to lose. That's a fact.
