Civilians being able to own weapons of mass death fit for a warzone is not acceptable. Too many deaths have resulted from a lack of standard gun laws and regulations. There is a gun debate and it is one the majority of citizens who want reasonable gun laws will eventually win.
I could kill dozens of people with my work truck, hundreds if I loaded it with diesel and fertilizer, thousands if I placed ball bearings all around device...but I would rather die than take an INNOCENT life. No regulation or psych test in the world could sort those people out!

Whole connection of mass murderers via guns to mental health is off. Also, if mh was the prob - there is no reason to not support gun regulations taking that into account. People aren't regularly turning their work trucks into mass death. Some guns belong on battlefields only.
