A military parade in DC would shut down the nation’s capital and waste taxpayer dollars just to feed Trump's ego. The way to show our service members and veterans that we appreciate their service is to use the parade money to fund their health care and other services they need.

And it would be divisive as we are still at war in Afghanistan, no time for Parades. Huge anti-war protests would be drawn up too.

Instead of wasting more they should just close Gitmo, try the detainees in federal courts and end that money pit(450 million a year). I could have sworn they ran on saving tax payer money and helping military/veterans.

More than 800,000 people attended the 1991 parade and loved it. There was no damage to the roads, even from Abrams tanks. Would be terrific for an annual Veterans Day event in DC regardless of who's in WH.
