      @MurielBowser as important as statehood is instead of retweeting this, why don’t you address the violence of your cops today. You can’t rise up on the back of BLM and then attack activists on the ground. If you don’t condemn MPD it’s over for you.

      I was there. It was both but Bowser has effectively shifted blame to federal forces in the past when her own MPD was gassing people on the same day. First Swann street, now this. Not saying Park Police weren’t also culpable.

      And earlier today way before statue removal, it was totally peaceful protestors and they pepper sprayed just to clear the street! For a damn street. Black lives matter but can’t gather here, I guess
