Many DC veterans oppose #DCstatehood. As a long-time DC resident, I also oppose DC becoming a state. Constitutionally, this isn’t a right the district possesses. Practically, the district continues to demonstrate an inability to govern itself.
On Veterans Day 2019, we acknowledge we owe a debt to all veterans but-that we still owe DC veterans the equal rights they bring to others around the world.#DCstatehood
