Have never understood how American citizens in DC do NOT have representation. Damn... so much we have to fix!... if we survive Trump and his complicit Justice Dept (& now intel community getting sucked into his cover-ups). If Dems got united that would sure help.

Should happen but won’t because most likely those two new senate seats would be blue and the Republicans won’t let that happen because they are so afraid of losing their power

And that is the main reason Democrats want it because they will do anything to get power back. Republicans and Democrats are the same they just use different issues to get and retain power at the expense of the Citizenry.

Good luck. DC will remain a district and should remain a district. If you don't like the tax rate THEN lower taxes and run your city efficiently. Roads have grossly deteriorated over last 7 years, 100+ homicides in 2019,
