I can not support statehood for the District of Columbia. When our Founders established the District, it was not to be apart of any state. Should DC have control over their own budget, yes. But not statehood.

Population of Wyoming is 577K, with two reps and two senators. Vermont is 688,000, with the same representation. Alaska and South Dakota are less than 10% bigger than DC. Find a better reason than a bunch of dudes 250 years ago said it should be so.

That's not it all. We deserve fair representation for our city. We generate more money then some states from taxes. Taxation with Representation is actually the motto on our license plates.
