True, most Americans are unaware of our lack voting rights. Increasing awareness of this fact is a goal we share. It would be forward thinking to include the history of the retrocession of the Virginia side of DC into everyone’s awareness efforts. Let’s begin w/ the end in mind
Most Americans do not know that DC residents do not have the same rights they do. We must spread the word by nationalizing #DCstatehood to educate the country about this injustice.

Founding fathers got it right. DC should not be a state. People shouldn’t be fooled. This is strictly partisan politics and a power play by one party. Statehood will not improve DC residents’ lives one bit.
