I agree with you! How gave they be given a bill to pay before they get a good job. Jail nor the halfway house is College!!
Today I introduced a bill to prohibit the Bureau of Prisons from charging fees for room and board at halfway houses. BOP feeds and houses inmates in prisons and halfway houses. Imposing additional burdens on returning citizens sets them up to fail.
