@RepJenniffer How about a combined DC and Puerto Rico statehood bill. We'll take #PR52 anytime just as HI went from #49 to #50. Statehood is the goal ,not the number.

Are you aware if Washington DC becomes a state you will no longer be the nation's capital and you will lose your downtown to a smaller DC outside your boundaries? Not only that, will the city of Washington be shrunken and divided to create suburbs within this new state?
