We agree w/ many of your efforts to incrementally expand home rule, but your overall approach has been wanting for decades. DC can get more bees w/ honey not w/ lawsuits vs. the administration & protests in front of hotels. Bottom line we could have been enfranchised yrs ago.
Pending #DCStatehood, I’ve introduced 11 bills this Congress to expand DC home rule. In the past week I've announced two more: giving DC complete authority to set the pay of a local official (Chief Financial Officer) and dates for special elections. #FreeAndEqualDC

Your tweet appeals to your base but that's all it does. Leadership requires shaping the winds to a better outcome, not just riding them in a vacuum. The end of our disenfranchisement is a national issue b/c of the Senate. 100 is the number & cloture at 60 is broadly backed.
