Why is DC "more than ready and deserving" now??? We have always been Americans who pay federal taxes. That's as "ready and deserving" as we ever needed to be!

I would support statehood but I don't see it passing anytime soon. Would retrocession back to Maryland be a reasonable alternative? That seems more likely to be something that could actually pass

The #1 role of our congressional delegate is to end our disenfranchisement. You have failed us in this effort for 28 yrs. Isn't it time we approach our disenfranchisement from a different perspective & w/ a different leader? Sadly, the answer is probably not yet. See you in 2020.
