I went indoor climbing for the first time today despite having a severe fear of heights. Was shaking and nearly had an anxiety attack but I did it \o/ trying to own the small steps because my life recently is being pretty shit on by my anxiety.

you've done awesome! keep going!! i have the same issue and I couldn't climb more than 50cm high the first 3/4 times I went climbing. I kept going and even though the fear hasn't gone away, I found that it really helped manage anxiety and its side effects in everyday life

That’s really good to hear, at least I’m not alone! I think it will be a slow process for me too but I want to keep trying. It did feel really good after I tried again and got to the top, it’s defiantly a good anxiety management excerise and it’s fun :)
