      @AlternativeChat why not just unfollow? Folks believe they have a mutual relationship and by muting you make a lie of that.

      @eljeppy @AlternativeChat Sometimes I mute people when they're posting about content I can't handle, like zombies. It's not personal.

      @twenty20sight @AlternativeChat and muting a hashtag or a particular set of words is the perfect use. I suspect this is for the long term.
