I think the electoral votes based on the populations of the state regions of the United States should elect the president. Simple majority isn’t sufficient. That’s the essence of having a republic as we do.

Only if you think the constitution is ridiculous. I think it’s highly arrogant to think you would make a better governing document than the founders.

I think it's ridiculous to not have a system which can't react quickly to changes. The electoral college was an amendment to the constitution. Were those who made that amendment arrogant?

Instituting a republic election system to a republic isn’t all that contrary to the founders beliefs bud.

Mmmhmm the current system favors your political beliefs because it gives more representation to the minority you belong to. That should and will change as it should. Enjoy.

You say “current system” as if it hasn’t existed to some extent since 1787. You misreprenting my thoughts on the electoral college certainly doesn’t justify your claim. In all seriousness you should look into why we use the electoral college and the founders thoughts.

You should and also examine it's ties to slavery. Oh that was another thing condoned by the founding fathers. What arrogance when that was overturned in an amendment! The length of a system in and of itself doesn't set in stone. Anyway bye

The constitution was the document of reason that was essential in abolishing slavery and again in civil rights equality. You’d know that if you understood the history of the US but then again considering this conversation I see that’s too much to ask.

The ability to amend the constitution is key. You want to believe that the things that benefit your particular ideology are sacrosanct. What arrogance. The electoral college is unfit for purpose and needs reform.
