Because we have free agency. You can still do the wrong thing even if it's wrong.
Amazing how many "Christians" on this thread are saying God and Jesus are on your side. That God is all powerful but fail to ask why "he" allows such heinous crimes

First, God is relational. His very nature, being triune, is not solitary, but relational. He values, in fact He IS, that loving relationship. He created us in His Image, which means, in part, for relationship. Yet, one cannot have relationship if it is a) forced, b) programmed.
