I've not followed the stimulus bills, so may be off the mark here. But I will say, if someone deliberately sets fire to a house, should they get praised as a hero for throwing water on it?

Exactly! Trump sets fires, withdraws to a safe distance, blames others for the fire, yells at people for not putting it out and then demands credit when they do. If you don't question that shit he'll just keep doing it.
